We are the professional body for an active, international community of over 50,000 leaders, managers, coaches and mentors – and we are much more than that.

The Institute serves as a hub for leadership professionals across the globe, offering valuable resources, networking opportunities, and development programs to enhance careers and ‘Inspire great leadership, everywhere’.
Challenges
We sought JP Training’s support to strengthen management capability across the organisation, recognising that a number of our managers were either relatively new to role or managing people for the first time.

As a small, fully remote organisation, we also wanted to build greater confidence in day-to-day people management, alongside stronger relationships, collaboration, and consistency in approach across the management cohort. The programme was intended to provide practical tools, shared language, and a supportive space for managers to develop their skills and confidence together, rather than learning in isolation.

Experience
The experience of working with JP Training has been positive and collaborative. They took the time to understand our organisational context, values, and constraints, and tailored the programme accordingly rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

The facilitation style created a safe and supportive environment for managers to share experiences, build relationships, and learn from one another. Communication throughout the programme was clear and responsive, and the sessions were well-structured while remaining flexible enough to adapt to emerging needs and live organisational challenges.
Results
Managers report increased confidence in their role, particularly in navigating people-management conversations and day-to-day challenges. The programme has also strengthened relationships and mutual understanding within the management group, supporting more open dialogue, collaboration, and peer support.

There is a clearer understanding of the teams and individuals reporting into them, alongside improved communication and a more consistent approach to management practices. Managers now have access to a shared set of practical tools and frameworks, which is helping to build confidence and consistency as they apply their learning in role.
Impact
At an organisational level, the training has helped to create greater alignment and consistency across our management cohort, which is particularly important in a small, fully remote organisation. There is a shared language and set of expectations emerging around people management, which is supporting clearer communication and more joined-up ways of working.

The programme has also contributed to stronger relationships and trust between managers, helping to reduce silos and encourage collaboration across teams. While it is still early to evidence longer-term outcomes, the training has laid a solid foundation for more confident, capable management and a healthier, more supportive environment for teams as the learning continues to embed.
